Thin sheets
Thin Sheets (81 KB)
Thin sheets just exceed the usual thickness of a foil (> 0.075). There may be large deviations from this definition, depending on the user or manufacturer.
Variants
A differentiation is made between sheets which, due to a ground surface, have particularly small material thickness tolerances (M-Tech®S), and on the other hand sheets which are bonded to other shims (M-Tech®P).
Scope of product definition
Thin sheets are usually not peelable laminated shims, see also M-Tech®L (formerly Laminum).
Manufacturing method
The usual grinding methods are used to work on the surfaces. Nibbling and stamping are used in conventional procedures to produce the geometric contour.
Handling
These sheets are laid in the joint without being worked on any further. It is not envisaged that they should be adapted to fit on-site, unless several sheets can be laid on top of one another.
