M-Tech®P
Edge Bonded Shims, Loose Leaf Shims
The M-Tech®P range includes products which involve the compilation of materials while still constituting one single tolerance compensation element.
The following advantages can be realized using M-Tech®P:
Large component tolerances can be compensated precisely and quickly in only a few steps.
Various materials are available for the suitable applications, i.e. for the known thickness value or material resisting to corrosion.
The tightness requirements of the fitting elements can be satisfied by means of adhesives.
Handling is easier if adhesive is only applied at a few points around the circumference of the shim or only on one side, much in the same manner as a “tear-off” calendar. Shim packages can be bundled at a lower price as "loose leaf shims" instead of gluing them around the circumference. (see photo above)
New! M-Tech®P-CFC1
M-Tech®P-CFC1 is a further development of edge-bonded shims made of composite material PREPREG HX50 HS 120g 1K 2X2T. The edge bonding is made in accordance with customer's specifications at the edge of the foils and it resembles a book spine. The cohesion of M-Tech®P-CFC1 is thus appropriate for transportation and handling.
Application:
M-Tech®P-CFC1 can be used anywhere there are high demands on lightness and pressure resistance. Rapidity and precision while assembling are combined with new variants of characteristics in this way because different materials can be combined together: e.g. low weight and high pressure resistance, curved surfaces and high temperature resistance etc. The variable structures of the shims facilitate employment in transmission and equipment construction, aerospace and mobile machines.
