Laser Cutting With Aviation Expertise

There is a big demand among buyers today for suppliers whose portfolio covers as many stages of a process chain as possible. This simplifies not only the procurement logistics, it also speeds up technical coordination. In the field of sheet metal forming, supply company MARTIN® meets this demand with a wide spectrum of products and services centred around high-precision laser fine cutting and precision punching, as well as a large number of other processing methods all the way through to sub-assembly installation.

As the company’s range of work materials also covers all options, from steel, stainless steel and aluminium to non-ferrous metals, MARTIN® supports buyers and constructors with flexible all-round quality for the innovative solution of problems in the field of sheet metal forming.

Thin walled with extra length
Expertise in the aviation and automotive industries have predestined MARTIN® to become a contact partner for metal forming technology solutions with heightened demands on precision, geometry and surface quality. Using CNC laser cutting technology and precision punching, the company produces highly delicate formed parts from sheet metals with thicknesses of 0.010 to 4.0 mm with a precision of up to 0.02 mm. The parts that are only 0.01 mm “thick” can reach lengths of up to 1,000 mm and are measured directly during production with an optical gauge. By means of other mechanical surface-processing and connection techniques, functional sub-assemblies for use in mechanical and plant engineering, drive and medical technology applications, such as grippers, dandy roll rings, stacking stops and many other products are then produced.
The range of additional processing methods used by MARTIN® includes laser marking, 2-D laser microprocessing, deep-drawing, machining and film lamination. When mounting sub-assemblies, the company uses a number of different joining techniques, from riveting and bolting to crimping and gluing. Last but not least, the indispensable basis of many customer-orientated supply projects is the company’s own toolmaking and CAD/CAM departments which guarantee the realization of technical metal forming innovations and their economical implementation from the initial idea to series production.

Georg MARTIN GmbH is certified in accordance with EN 9100, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and has supplier approval from many companies, including Airbus, Airbus Helicopters and Rolls Royce. Production complies with RoHS, PFOS and REACH requirements.
